Great question, glad you asked. The answer is yes but the answer is also no. In fact, the best answer is my favourite answer: it depends!

First, let's be more specific about what you're asking. Let's deal with the term "weight". Anyone who ever took third grade science remembers the difference between weight and mass. In case the difference was never made clear to you, weight refers to the amount of gravitational pull on your body. Contrary to popular belief, your body mass is a measure of how much matter your body is made up of and not how much you matter (see what I did there?). Now that we have clarified, and it is indeed body mass we are talking about and not weight let's discuss...
